Why people idolize relationships too much...

Because they don't want to be alone. Being alone requires introspection. It requires looking at yourself and your thoughts. People don't want to do this. Relationships allow you to get dopamine hits, and other feel good chemicals, without introspection.

Relationships also allow you to get a sense of validation from another person. People are desperate today for external validation. Internal validation and knowing that you are loved by God, that you are worthy of love even though you have made mistakes, doesn't seem to be enough for people.

People who are in relationships have been programmed into believing that being in a relationship is the pinnacle of living. Being single and detached from the world is not encouraged.

The media, society, culture, tell people that they have to be in relationships to be happy. It's one of the biggest lies that the modern world has pushed on people.

Most relationships are really toxic and superficial. The modern world is built around selfishness and ego. Everything is about me me me me me. This is obviously a very unhealthy mindset to have.

It doesn't build community, compassion, or empathy. It breeds a generation of people who don't care about God, love, or others. It causes people to chase superficial things, like money, status, relationships and sex.

Everything today becomes transactional. There's no such thing as friendship. People only use others to get what they want. This is another lie of the modern world.

We live in a very selfish and superficial world. It's also a very fake and materialistic world. It's a world that tells people: the only way to be happy is through money, status, power, relationships, sex, and material possessions.

This is a society that breeds loneliness, sadness, misery, and depression, despite the fact that we are the most wealthy society that has ever existed. People today are more disconnected from God, love, and humanity than ever before.

This is what the modern world has created; a society of lonely, sad, and broken people.

Relationships are supposed to bring comfort, love and intimacy. This is how they have been advertised. The reality is that most relationships today are highly toxic and dysfunctional.

They do not provide long term comfort, love or intimacy. Instead, they breed anger, tension and heartache. The modern world has created a culture where people are not committed to long term relationships.

Instead, people are focused on short term pleasure and gratification. This has lead to a society where people are constantly seeking new and exciting experiences. This is not a healthy way to live and it does not provide long term happiness or wellbeing.

The modern world is highly superficial and materialistic. It's a world where people are focused on external validation, rather than internal validation. It's a world that values money, status, sex and power above all else.

It is a world that focuses on the image and status quo rather than true love and connection. It's a world that breeds loneliness and sadness, despite the fact that we are the most "connected" and "wealthy" generation in history.

The modern world has created a society of lonely, isolated and disconnected people who lack a sense of community and purpose.

Our modern society has become increasingly superficial and materialistic. We are told that the only way to be happy is through money, possessions, fame, and power rather than more meaningful things like love, connection and community.

This superficial view has led to increased rates of addiction, depression and anxiety as we try to fill the void with external "things" rather than working to find a more deeper meaning in life.

The modern world has become a place where people focus more on appearances than reality, and more on what others think about them than who they truly are as individuals.

The modern world is a superficial and materialistic world. It does not offer long term happiness and wellbeing. It is a world where people are enslaved to their desires and seeking short term pleasure rather than living a life of integrity and purpose.

As individuals we have the power to change the world and help create a society that is more focused on love and connection rather than superficiality and instant gratification.

We need to make a conscious effort to avoid falling into the trap of the modern world, and instead work to live a life of integrity and purpose, which will bring us long term happiness and wellbeing.

 Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

God created you for a purpose

God created you for a purpose.  That purpose is to have relationship with Him and to reflect his image to a lost and hurting world.  Are you living out your destiny or have you fallen away from your path?

Do not allow the enemy to continue to cloud your mind with lies.  You are loved and you are never to far from God.  You have value.  You are important.  Your life matters.  It has meaning, and don't you forget it.  Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life,  No one comes to the Father except through him!

That purpose is not to live selfishly, but with selflessness. That purpose is to glorify God as He deserves, to honor your parents, to love your neighbor as yourself, to serve your community, to bless all those in your path, to be kind, considerate, compassionate, loving. You serve more purpose than just for yourself. You have been given the gift of life and Jesus Christ has given you the gift of eternal life. You have worth, you have value, and you have purpose; use them!

Life is a journey. It will have ups and downs. We will go through struggles and obstacles. We will have tough days. But no matter what comes our way, we need to stand strong in our faith and continue our walk with God. When we let our guard down, that is when the enemy strikes. Do not allow the enemy to steal your joy, to steal your peace. Take joy in knowing that you have a relationship with God and that you are protected and loved. When all else fails, hold on to that!

There is hope in Christ Jesus! Even in the darkest of times, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. No matter what struggles you are going through, lean on God and His word. Trust in Him, and know that He will never leave you or forsake you. Even in our darkest times, can choose to praise God. Even in the midst of our hardest times, can choose to bless those around us. No matter what you are going through, you are not alone. Hold on to hope and keep fighting the fight.

God has a plan for your life. He desires that you walk in His will and that you follow Him. When you are obedient to God, your life will be filled with blessings and joy. When you turn from sin and pursue righteousness, you will find true peace and fulfillment. When you place your faith in God and give Him control of your life, you will be walking in His perfect plan. Let God's perfect will and plan be done through you, and you will experience joy, purpose, and fulfillment.

The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

(Psalm 145:9-12)
